Our reading intervention tutors are trained and supported to deliver individualized lessons using high quality materials and teaching strategies based on the Science of Reading and Orton-Gillingham principles. We “LYNC Up” students and reading intervention tutors in reading programs in schools and libraries.

Reading intervention to adults is provided in adult recovery programs and in the justice system. We hire well qualified reading intervention tutors who teach with patience and care using high quality materials and t.aching strategies based on the Science of Reading and Orton-Gillingham principles.

We envision all struggling readers, no matter where they live or who they are, receiving structured literacy reading intervention grounded in the science of reading from tutors who are positioned to teach and support the student’s individual needs as a loved “neighbor”. Our two programs, School Reading Program and LYNCed UP, provide materials and training as needed. Our School Reading Program provides an “extra dose” of quality reading instruction for struggling readers at the school. LYNCed Up reading intervention tutors are connected with students to provide lessons in libraries, in recovery centers or virtually in the justice system.

L.Y.N.C. Works longs to have a multitude of reading intervention tutors providing quality, individualized reading lessons with interesting, meaningful, multi-sensory materials. We have materials for our intervention tutors to borrow and free consumables. Whether you are certified in a structured literacy program or being trained to use our lesson plans, we are delighted to supplement or loan you our high quality materials.

L.Y.N.C. Works facilitates a peer-led monthly gathering for teachers and tutors. Teachers and tutors find encouragement, and support around relevant topics to them for the purpose of renewing their minds and hearts for the important work of teaching.
